I believe, oub, and I could be wrong, that he may have been in the region of his THIRTIES.
Hmmmmm.
the video streaming of the german branch visit program was excrutiating 3.5 hours long.. i just went to see the last 45 min (part of mark sandersons talk).. i think sanderson is quite a sympathetic speaker and he kind of made a loving impression.. he didn't mention controversial stuff (except for one thing i will come to soon).
he mostly talked about how to find joy, even when life is not easy, and how much the gb loves the rank and file.. one point seemed soooo important to him.
parents and children.

Hmmmmm.
thats a big test.
can you think of the test that that would put on gods people?
its a big test, its a big test.
this saturday is the branch visit of mark sanderson in the selters german bethel.. there will be a video streaming for all the congs.. some of you might have heard branch visit talks of sanderson.. will there be something special or controversial?.
i am not sure if i should attend even if it's just for noting or recording some controversial stuff.
would be hard though, 3 hours of wasted time.
If it's the same as the visit we just has in the UK, it's mostly inoffensive stuff. No tight pants comments.
One daft part was where they were talking about law victories, he numbered how many they'd win, but then said, we do lose SOME, but that it doesn't matter cos we FEEL Jah is with us... Hmm.
WWorse was a part on depression, mentioned a lady had put a note in the contribution box saying this was meant to be a suicide note, but so up built by the program, she decided not to. . He said how many feel these feelings of depression , which is nice to acknowledge, but there was not ONE mention of getting HELP professionally.
Just that nothing can separate from love of Christ. Even death. Yeh, very encouraging. The perfect opportunity to help take away the stigma of seeking help for mental health issues, wasted.

Simonsays - I don't understand what on earth you're on about. Maybe it's cos I'm thick. Maybe it's cos I can't be arsed to read all the copy and paste material.
What are you saying? In a nutshell?

jehovah's witnesses.
there are about 140,000 jehovah's witnesses in the uk who will choose not to vote on 7 may.. mark o'malley, a spokesman for the christian-based religious movement, said: "as you go through the bible we see that god's kingdom is already established in heaven with god as the king of that kingdom.. "we are politically neutral as, in a sense, we have already chosen to support that kingdom's government.
we see it as a real government.. "there are limitations to what governments can do, maybe they can improve the health system, but they can't prevent death, maybe they can help children, but they can't provide a secure future for them necessarily.
having recently had an "awakening" - not from reading awake .... i realize i can not preach doctrines i do not believe anymore .
but i do not want the elders to start following my every move, because i also have plans to check other christian denominations.. so i am thinking, should i chat for an hour or two with an old visit and report the hours, should i tell the elders i have some doubts and i do not want to preach for now or should i just stop reporting and avoid the elders attempts to talk to me?
what do you think is the best sollution to get away with this?
The trolley work is great for not having to actually preach to anyone, it's an easy hour!
Reporting time is just nonsense anyway, there's no scriptural requirement, I just put an hour or two in whether I've done more than that or less.
i have a friend who is still in.
this friend is a partaker, but has serious doubts about the org.
this friend wants to stand up as a man, and wants to call wtbts hq.
with all the negativity here i was wondering if i am the only one here that's a witness.
.
the topic pretty much says everything..
I'm a Witness, just getting ready for the meeting. There's plenty of us out here, but unfortunately we see the flawed teachings and even the deceptive quotes the WT has used to prove it's points and can't leave yet due to fear of being shunned by our families.
PM me if you want to talk matey, I'm not df'd, still in good standing, ex elder, happily married etc...
